Create a well-rounded junior badminton athlete ready to progress with a full support system.

This is the second in a series of blogs to building a badminton community. Read Part 1 here

breaking down barriers

How do we get there?

Forcing Cultural Change in Badminton

Cultural change is pivotal for long-term success. Gala Academy spearheads cultural transformation in junior badminton, championing fairness, inclusivity, and excellence. This is setting new benchmarks for the sport and ensuring long-term success by reshaping its community standards.

Removing Price Wars

One significant challenge in building a thriving junior badminton community is the tendency towards price wars among coaching services. Gala Academy is addressing this by setting a standard for high-quality coaching, low student to coach ratio and transparent pricing.

Diversifying Politics and Bureaucracy

Gala Academy has simplified sports politics and bureaucracy by promoting transparency and inclusivity. Their governance model democratises input from parents, clubs, coaches, and athletes, fostering mutual respect and cooperation while dismantling barriers.

Identifying Quality Coaches

At Gala Academy, we recognise the diverse skills of our coaches. Using our PD Grid, we are compiling community expertise to best benefit students. We maintain continuous professional development for coaches to enhance and foster the next generation of badminton stars.

Adding Value to students and coaches

Adding value to coaching goes beyond technical instruction. At Gala Academy we are creating a holistic developmental program that nurtures not only badminton skills but also personal growth.
